We are seeking an energetic and highly organized individual to join our team as an Office Manager. In this role you will be expected to provide administrative support to the General Manager (GM) while working independently and with little to no supervision. As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of office operations, ensuring the smooth running of the yard’s daily activities. This is a key role within our organization and requires exceptional organizational, administrative, and leadership skills.

- Lead and manage a team of dedicated professionals ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to employees to assist them in the completion of their job responsibilities.
- Partner with the GM, and other relevant parties, in addressing employees’ questions, concerns, performance, or other matters.
- Oversee and perform office administrative duties such as answering the telephone, processing paperwork, ordering office supplies, and other similar office duties.
- Provide accurate information to suppliers and customers regarding the types of materials accepted, pricing, and maintenance of all accounts.
- Process outbound Bills of Lading and other required documentation for company and contracted drivers.
- Greet all visitors and ensure all have the required PPE for facility tours/inspections.
- Provide relief and/or backup duties for the Cashier and Weighmaster.
- Assists with monthly closing reporting, and with inventory reconciliation as needed.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three plus years’ experience leading teams and managing office functions in the scrap metal, heavy industry, construction, or related industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn industry specific software.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
