Night Shift Production Line Operator

Job Summary

The market leader in Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling GLE Scrap Metal, has an immediate opening for production line operators weekend nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5pm-5am

Responsibilities

· Prepare and sort various wires for pre-shred

· Identify and remove non-conforming materials that will contaminate the production batch

· Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor

· Assembling packaging for outbound materials

· Following production guidelines and specifications

· Finalizing and packing products for shipment

· Operating and maintaining computerized machinery and adjusting production line equipment

· Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products

· Working on the production line and meeting production targets

· Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.

· Performing other tasks as assigned

· Following health and safety standards

Requirements

. Working weekend nights from 5PM to 5AM Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

· HS Diploma or Equivalent

· Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and other physical activities for extended periods of time

· Ability to work outdoors with expose to the sun and incremental weather

· Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical

- Skills

. Operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.

. Mechanically Inclined and able to identify, use hand tools.

· Ability to work safely and properly follow all company policies

· Ability for sitting, standing, walking, forward bending, climbing, squatting, lifting, kneeling, pulling/ pushing and reaching

· Ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
