Network Engineer

Essential Functions:

- Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, VPN, QoS)

- Diagnose and resolve networking issues promptly

- Collaborate with employees and management to address network-related problems

- Implement disaster recovery procedures

- Installation of ethernet and fiber cabling

- Perform maintenance and system upgrades including firmware upgrades, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

- Monitor network resource utilization, trending and capacity planning.

- Manage vendors for pricing, installation, maintenance and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

- 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience.

- CCNP or higher certification

- Deep understanding of network protocols

- Strong CLI skills

- Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP model

- Extensive experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytical tools

- Willing to travel 30% monthly

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

- Must possess a valid driver’s license

- Onsite Job at Gardendale Texas 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday

- Some overtime required including weekends

- No remote worker applications

- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety goggles, goggles, etc.

- Vision - Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception

- Sense of Sound - 55 decibels, adult conversations

- Sense of Smell - Able to detect odors.
