DGOC is seeking a self‑motivated, dependable, and analytical Gas Actualization Analyst who is well organized, results-oriented, and experienced in the natural gas industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Gas Actualization Analysts are responsible for reconciling volumetric activity in Diversified’s Energy Marketing system with pipeline statements and counterparty payment statements. This role ensures that unaccounted‑for volumes are resolved and that funds are accurately disbursed to settle transportation invoices with pipeline counterparties on a monthly basis.
The position requires an understanding of natural gas movement, familiarity with electronic bulletin boards (EBBs), and experience using internal tracking systems. The analyst must be capable of tracking transactions from inception through the distribution process. Independent problem‑solving is expected, with appropriate oversight and guidance. While the work follows a monthly cycle, responsibilities are varied and diversified. The analyst may act on certain matters independently without routine referral to supervisors or peers.
- Reconciling pipeline and counterparty payment statements
- Uploading volumes into the Energy Marketing system
- Preparing distribution reports for the Revenue Accounting team in coordination with the Energy Services team
- Preparing accrual reports for the Revenue Accounting team in coordination with the Energy Services team
- Preparing expected cash receivable reports for the Revenue Accounting team
- Reconciling Accounts Receivable aging reports in collaboration with Revenue Accounting
- Providing audit support for semi‑annual and annual financial audits
- Reconciling imbalances across interstate, intrastate, midstream, and gathering systems
- Collaborating with internal teams to identify and resolve transaction discrepancies
- Applying knowledge of pipeline contracts to reconcile charges against expectations
- Verifying third‑party invoices and maintaining strong counterparty relationships
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- General knowledge of interstate gas pipeline systems
- Understanding of natural gas gathering, balancing, and purchase/sale contracts
- Ability to communicate effectively with scheduling counterparts, pipeline representatives, and natural gas producers
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new techniques and assist in training others
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience implementing and managing ETRM and midstream management systems
- Revenue accounting experience
- Project management skills
- Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.
