Mining Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy mining machinery, including, Crushers, Feeders, Conveyors Equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible Driving a company vehicle w/ gas card. Working out in the field sometime 10-12 hours a day.

Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including Crushers, Feeders, Conveyors Equipment.

- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Utilize schematics and OEM manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

- Repair and replace components such as k400 heads, wedge, bowls.

- Execute fabrication tasks as needed for custom repairs or modifications.

- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.

- Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing after repairs.

- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.

- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and using power tools.

Experience

- Previous mechanic experience in heavy equipment repair is required.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.

- Experience with welding and soldering for equipment repairs is beneficial.

- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
