Day in the Life:
As Manager of Commercial Contracts, you will lead a centralized team managing the full lifecycle of commercial, operational, and service agreements across Gathering & Processing, NGL Services, and Commodity Marketing. Acting as a strategic link between commercial and legal teams, you ensure contracts are accurately executed, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities include contract term development, redlining, obligation management, transaction confirmations, and stakeholder communications. This role also oversees team development and requires strong collaboration, relationship-building, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Leads and develops contract analyst team in drafting, negotiating, and executing complex Gathering & Processing, NGL Services, and Marketing agreements
- Manages performance and workforce planning including professional development and assignment of resources for contract management and special projects
- Drives contract operations strategy implementing systems, process improvements, and maintaining lifecycle management standards to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
- Oversees drafting and execution of commercial agreements ensuring compliance with policies and coordinating briefs, risk assessments, and executive summaries
- Serves as primary liaison with Commercial and Legal teams resolving business and legal issues and supporting new business development and special projects
- Optimizes Contract Lifecycle Management and business systems ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and leading IT, Audit, and Compliance initiatives
- Promotes continuous improvement across stakeholder teams to deliver accurate, efficient execution of agreements that maximize value and mitigate risk

- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Legal related and minimum five (5) years’ experience
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Legal related and minimum three (3) years’ experience
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Conduct meetings with SOX audit, E&Y auditors and Internal Audit
- Excellent written communication for drafting custom contract provisions
- Possesses strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring a team

This role acts as a strategic bridge between deal-making commercial teams and the legal department, ensuring all contracts are accurately executed, documented, and compliant with company policy and regulatory standards while maintaining alignment with business objectives. Activities include full contract life cycle process management from contract term development, redlining/version control, obligation management, contract terms and conditions, marketing transaction confirmations and communications with internal and external parties. The position supervises and develops others within the department performing contract activities.
