Metallurgical Lab Technician

Job Title: Metallurgical Lab Technician Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

Job Type: Contract or Full-Time

Forte Analytical is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metallurgical Lab Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in laboratory sciences and a strong interest in the mining and metallurgical field. Forte is seeking one person for a contracted/temporary position and one person for a full-time position.

- Perform ore preparation for metallurgical testing

- Conduct sampling and analytical laboratory work

- Assist with various tests including leach tests, flotation, and moisture content determination

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory work

- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures

- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of lab equipment and workspace

Qualifications:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (required)

- Prior lab experience preferred, but not required

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures

- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to travel occasionally to mine sites for sampling

Additional Information:

- Pre-hire drug screening required

- OSHA training will be provided

- Pay will be based on qualifications and years of experience

Working Conditions:

- Laboratory and occasional field environment

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

- Some physical activity including lifting samples and standing for extended periods

- Hours of operation: 7am-3:30pm M-F with possibility of overtime during high workload projects
