Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication processes, including welding and assembly, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. This role is essential for producing high-quality metal components used in various applications, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

- Fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints.

- Assemble ductwork and other metal structures with precision.

- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including stick welding and soldering.

- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials as needed.

- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.

Skills

- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.

- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques.

- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.

- Experience in operating forklifts safely within a manufacturing environment.

- Skilled in various welding methods, including stick welding and soldering.

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Metal Fabrication Knowledge: Understanding of basic metal fabrication processes like cutting, grinding, and fitting.

- Hand Tool Proficiency: Ability to use hand tools like calipers, rulers, and measuring tapes accurately.

- Attention to Detail: High level of precision and focus to ensure consistent weld quality.

- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy metal components.

Work Environment:

- Typically in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes from welding processes.

- May involve working in various positions, including standing, bending, and crouching.
