1.1. To describe the tasks required of the production welder at Lewark Metal Spinning, Inc.
2.1. This procedure applies to all people, who manage or produce product at Lewark Metal Spinning, Inc.
3.1. Layout, position, and weld parts and process material following directions on prints and shop orders.
3.2. Verifying that the work produced is performed adequately.
3.3. Clean equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance duties as required.
3.5. Must follow quality system policies and procedures.
3.6. Performs other duties and projects that may be assigned from time to time by the President.
4.1. Minimum requirement of a ninth grade High School education.
4.2. Vocational training at a post high school institute preferred.
4.3. A minimum of one year related job experience.
4.4. The ability to use the following processes; TIG, MIG, and RSW (spot) welding operations.
4.5. The ability to weld various materials such as aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium in thickness from 1/16 inch and up.
4.6. The ability to read, write and speak the English language.
4.7. The ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
4.8. The ability to write reports and fill out forms.
4.9. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
4.10. The ability to work with metric dimensions and convert from metric to standard.
4.11. The ability to read technical drawings and be able to discern errors.
4.12. The ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes involved written duties, diagrammed, or oral instructions.
4.13. The ability to use common measuring equipment / tools.
4.14. General knowledge of materials (e.g. metal types).
4.15. Body positions of standing up to eight (8) hours a day, walking, climbing stairs, twisting, pushing, pulling, using hands, fingers to handle, feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
4.16. The ability to lift materials up to sixty (60) pounds on a frequent, daily basis.
4.17. The ability to see clearly, identify colors, and have depth perception and the ability to focus quickly.
4.18. The ability to function in an occasionally stressful environment due to the production schedules.
5.1. Personal efficiencies of welding jobs (e.g. production to standards).
5.4. The ability to work with their peers, all employees and management.
