Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will also have lead responsibilities, assisting the supervisor in training, daily assignments and purchase requisitions. In the absence of the supervisor, the lead will complete scheduling, distributing assignments, and daily paperwork.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, electrical components, and high/low voltage systems.

- Utilize CMMS software to track work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.

- Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and industrial electrician practices.

- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and equipment status.

Requirements

- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment; stamping background is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R, electrical systems (including high voltage), and schematics interpretation.

- Hands-on experience with CMMS software, precision measuring instruments, and analysis skills.

- Skilled in welding techniques (Mig/Stick)

- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on analysis and problem-solving in complex mechanical/electrical systems.

- Effective communication skills in English; customer service experience is advantageous for cross-department collaboration.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced manufacturing settings while maintaining safety standards.
