Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in rotating equipment to join our Houston-based team in the Energy Corridor. This role supports compressor stations, gas turbines, and other critical rotating equipment within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in design, machining, troubleshooting, and field support, along with a proven ability to contribute to both brownfield and greenfield project design and startup.
This position requires a hands-on engineering professional who is comfortable working in both office and field environments, with frequent travel to project and operational sites.
· Provide engineering support for rotating equipment including compressors, turbines, and associated machinery.
· Participate in the design, development, and startup of brownfield and greenfield projects.
· Support compressor station operations, troubleshooting, repair, and performance optimization.
· Collaborate with machinists, field technicians, and operations teams to diagnose mechanical issues and implement solutions.
· Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
· Perform equipment inspections, reliability assessments, and root cause failure analysis.
· Interpret and develop engineering drawings, machining specifications, and technical documentation.
· Travel to field locations for commissioning, equipment evaluation, and operational support.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering school.
· Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience in rotating equipment within the oil and gas industry.
· Experience working with compressor stations and gas turbines.
· Demonstrated experience supporting brownfield and greenfield project design and startup.
· Strong understanding of rotating machinery, machining processes, and mechanical systems.
· Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and technical communication skills.
· Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
· Full-time, in-office position located in Houston’s Energy Corridor.
· Frequent travel required to field sites and project locations.
· Combination of engineering design work and hands-on field support.
