Position

Met Weld International ("MWI") is seeking a dynamic and versatile Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-talented Engineering Department. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who thrives on new challenges and technical excellence. The Mechanical Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager. This is a full time, exempt position based in the Altamont, NY facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

Designs products associated with fuel conditioning, powergen auxiliaries, generator accessories, and hydrogen-related systems supporting the decarbonization of industry.

Experience

Strong background in mechanical engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.

+ Excellent mechanical and technical skills. + Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful and organized in a multi-functional role. + Willingness to take on new challenges and increasing levels of responsibility, including manufacturing and QC support. + Solid communication, organization and time management skills. + Ability to handle multiple projects at varying stages of completion simultaneously. + Prior experience interfacing with a quality management system, ISO9001, NQA-1, etc. + Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost estimating. + Design Software: 3D CAD and AutoCAD/Inventor experience required.
