Mechanical/Piping Designer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical/Piping Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing mechanical and piping systems for industrial, commercial, or construction projects. You will work closely with mechanical engineers and project managers to develop detailed design plans, layouts, and models that meet the project's functional requirements and adhere to industry codes and standards.

Salary:

• Designer: $30-$45/hour + benefits
• Senior Designer: $45-$60/hour + benefits

• Create accurate and detailed mechanical and piping designs, layouts, and schematics using CAD software
• Design mechanical and piping systems to meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Work closely with engineers to translate design concepts into technical drawings and models.
• Ensure designs meet all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Develop 3D models of mechanical and piping systems, ensuring that designs are spatially coordinated and fit within the building or plant layout.
• Recommend appropriate materials for mechanical and piping systems based on project needs, environmental conditions, and cost considerations.

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree from a trade school or college
• Proficiency in design software 
• Knowledge of mechanical and piping system design principles and practices.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
