Summary of Position:
Mechanical Design Engineer plays a crucial role in the equipment development process and overall equipment performance, with primary responsibilities including equipment design, analyzing, and developing mechanical components and systems that meet Liberty Energy’s industry leading standards. Mechanical Design Engineers collaborate with cross-functioning teams, including Software Design, Electrical Design, Manufacturing, Reliability, Maintenance, and Operations, to drive product initiatives and optimize overall product performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy service equipment design, possess excellent 3D design and problem-solving skills, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-pasted environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
•Strong mechanical and operational knowledge of pressure pumping equipment and procedures.
•Strong 3D design and component analysis skills with SolidWorks software.
•Hydraulic system experience.
•Structural design experience.
•Experience designing mobile large-scale equipment.
•Willingness to travel to Liberty Energy locations and vendors as the need arises.
•Mechanical Design Engineer III: 10+ years of related design, manufacturing, or hydraulic fracturing field experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Plans and manages work and meets deadlines under minimal or no supervision.
•Develops and maintains accurate documentations, including design specifications, drawings, and test reports.
•Leads product design reviews with peers and cross-functioning teams.
•Adheres to and aids in improving Liberty Energy design standards.
•Develops solutions and designs products, systems, equipment for identified operational needs.
•Performs thorough analysis and simulations to validate the performance and reliability of components and mechanical systems.
•Contributes to the selection of appropriate materials and components for the mechanical systems, considering factors like cost, availability, and sustainability.
•Assists with root cause analysis and determination of equipment malfunctions and failures and develops solutions for identified issues.
•Assists with the implementation of new products and equipment.
•Maintains technical skill set for basic equipment systems and design software.

Working Conditions/Environment:
•Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.
•Visits to manufacturing, testing, and field location will be expected.

•Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Salary:
$90,000/YR - $160,000/YR
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
