GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

RW Hartnett company (www.rwhartnett.com) seeks a Design Engineering with SolidWorks skills to part of our engineering team. RW Hartnett is a manufacturer of high-quality printing machines for the Pharmaceutical and Confectionery industries. The work environment is that of a small company where you feel more like part of a family than just another number on a payroll.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

3 Years of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Previous experiences in automated design, pharmaceutical packaging machinery is a plus.

Ability to Develop New Designs or make modifications to current design.

Product design experience.

High level understanding of manufacturing processes.

Ability to interact with multiple departments throughout an organization.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications as well as scheduling software.

Proficient in current release of SolidWorks, AutoCAD

SolidWorks PDM experience

Familiarity with GD&T Tolerancing.

Ability to travel, as or if required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES

Interact with employees, customers, and vendors.

Create project timelines and schedules utilizing Microsoft Project or similar software.

Disseminate project information and coordinate same to ensure timely realization of all project requirements across the engineering department.

Create, review, and manage mechanical designs and assemblies.

Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, Company standards and customer requirements and specifications.

Develop models of alternative processing methods to test feasibility of new applications and components and recommend implementation of improved processes and procedures.

Champion product development, continuous improvement initiatives and standardization.
