The Measurement Technician III is responsible for overseeing gas measurement equipment and ensuring its operational efficiency. This role involves maintaining peak performance of gas measurement and quality systems through installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of flow equipment, analyzers, and samplers. Ensuring data accuracy, supporting safety protocols, and demonstrating the ability to work independently are key responsibilities of this position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Installs, commissions, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and maintains all gas measurement equipment including but not limited to: Dry flow recorders, EFM’s, USM’s, samplers, orifice plates, and meter tubes.
•Ensures all gas measurement and related equipment operates at peak efficiency.
•Installs, commissions, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and maintains all gas quality equipment including gas chromatographs, O2 analyzers, H2S analyzers, H2O analyzers, and composite samplers.
•Performs spot sampling and associated witnessing of custody transfer meters.
•Actively supports Environmental, Health and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices and maintaining a safe working environment.
•Prepares accurate reports and records of work performed.
•Conducts preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
•Collaborates with engineering and operations teams to optimize measurement and quality processes.
•Assists with training junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
•Implements improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of measurement operations.
•Participates in audits and compliance inspections, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
•Assists in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
•Utilizes computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) effectively for documentation and workflow management.
•Assists in analyzing measurement variance reports and resolving discrepancies with customers and loss and unaccounted reports.
•Works independently with minimal supervision.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

•Senior-level skillset with expertise in gas measurement and associated equipment.
•Performs and completes tests on all EFMs deployed in the field.
•Proficient in basic programming, calibration, and troubleshooting of EFMs.
•Familiarity with basic electricity and electronic equipment used in measurement systems.
•Comprehensive understanding of gas components, gas quality standards, and proper sampling procedures.
•Knowledgeable about orifice and ultrasonic meters used in field operations.
•Proficient in communication and SCADA system protocols, understanding their interrelationships.
•Familiarity with EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API, and GPA regulations and procedures.
Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•5 years of experience in measurement, instrumentation, and electrical within the industry
Certifications:
