Job Profile Summary
Provides technical support for field measurement and other operational related system.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
•Provide support for measurement system applications including but not limited to:
•Interface with vendors regarding system problems and maintenance
•Liaison with operating representatives from supplier and customer companies in regard to measurement policy and procedures
•Provide technical support for measurement personnel; coordinate training on measurement applications
•Assist in monthly closing activities as needed to resolve application problems
•Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application problems
•Interface with IT staff regarding system maintenance and performance issues
•Develop proposals pertaining to measurement system customization; work with IT regarding design, testing, and implementation of proposed system changes
•Assist with work schedules for field meter testing and field sampling with field personnel and contractors
•Provide information and assistance to employees including measurement, accounting, field users, etc., related to measurement application issues including usability, functionality, processing speed, training, etc
•Provide technical training and user support for measurement system and related applications
•Assist with measurement process analysis functions
•Work directly with construction department to ensure the construction of all new well connects
•Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
Education
Work Experience
•Experience in the use of measurement software applications, such as FlowCal
•Experience analyzing and resolving problems with gas measurement system applications
•Experience and/or training related to:
•Electronic data handling applications
•Measurement process analysis functions
•Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications such as Word, Excel, and Access
•Electronic measuring/testing devices
•Communications/interpersonal skills
•Experience reading and interpreting vendor communications, contracts, reports, technical manuals and publications, and correspondence
•Experience compiling and generating various types of reports pertaining to measurement data, system performance, training materials, etc
•Experience interacting, advising, training, and communicating effectively
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
•Skills in: measurement systems such as editing, importing, and exporting of data
•Knowledge of: field operations and gas measurement methods
•Knowledge of: plant processing and extraction facilities and physical properties of natural gas
•Knowledge of: data acquisition systems used to poll secondary measurement devices
•Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas used in spreadsheet applications
•Ability to: develop information and make presentations to individuals and groups
•Ability to: communicate and exchange verbal information and instructions; conduct oral presentations
