Measurement & Automation Technician Summary: Measurement Technician in upstream and midstream oil & gas industry. This position will be responsible for correctly calibrating and documenting flow meter equipment and ensure proper operation. Scope and Magnitude: Tests, calibrates, operates, maintains, inspects electronic, mechanical flow meters and obtain gas samples. Communicate at a technical level and interface with customers, measurement, operations and engineering groups. Assist in field and/or pipeline operations and maintenance functions. Utilize basic computer skills to use e-main, meter test , data collection software, hardware and complete electronic reports. Primary Responsibilities: Learn and adhere to Pneumatech's safety policies and procedures. Have a solid understanding and application experience with gas and liquid measurement concepts and knowledge of API and AGA standards. RRC regulations. Working knowledge of ABB Total flow EFM's and PCCU software. Knowledge of various types of meters (turbine, Coriolis, orifice, etc..) Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions on measurement equipment. Evaluate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process flow diagrams to ensure industry and regulated standards for process measurement can be made. Perform configurations and be able to troubleshoot instrumentation to include the following: pressure, temperature, and level instruments. Witness testing and calibration of 3rd party meters. Collect gas samples. Maintain typical pipeline equipment, basic measurement equipment, valves, etc. Must complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters. Must have people skills and task prioritizing skills. Key Essential Qualifications : Minimum of 1 year of work related experience or related technical college education Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company. Ability to work well with others and effectively communicate in a team environment to accomplish customer and team goals. Strong work ethic and ability to operate with minimal supervision. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and able to respond to call outs. Ability to work away from home on scheduled rotations as needed. Education, Experience and Skills Required : High School Diploma or Equivalent. Valid Driver's License. Must speak write and read English fluently. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and is subject to random DOT drug testing. Must be capable to physical duties in outdoor environment.
