Manager, Procurement

Basic Function

Join HF Sinclair as a Procurement Manager and lead a high-performing team at the center of our Midstream and Asphalt operations. In this influential role, you’ll manage a team and serve as the primary point of contact for all Midstream procurement activities. You’ll drive sourcing strategies that go beyond price—optimizing for total cost of ownership, long-term value, and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with key business stakeholders to ensure procurement decisions are aligned with broader goals, timelines, and performance expectations. Job Duties

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior or other local VP’s or managers, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of related on-the-job experience are required.

PREFERRED Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years of procurement/ purchasing experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.

Required Skills

Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication; advanced reading and writing skills; negotiating, interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills; proficient in procurement, inventory control and cost containment; knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices and procedures. Ability to perform intermediate to complex mathematical calculations.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

A C.P.M (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation is preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for the direct supervision of up to 5 employees, or contractors, depending on assignment.

Work Conditions

Office based with up to 15% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, fumes and airborne particles. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions. May be required to work extended hours and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, perceiving color differences, and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted). Job conditions may require standing, walking, and twisting, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
