A key Optimus commodities trading client is seeking a highly skilled and networked Manager of Marketing – NGLs
to manage this portfolio. This role focuses on value creation, flow assurance, business development, and effective team leadership while ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth in a dynamic market environment. Required: 8–12 years of relevant work experience in oil and NGL marketing or related energy markets, preferably with relationships in the Appalachian region.
This role requires that its incumbent be in the

- Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals overseeing ~125,000 bpd of condensate and purity NGLs, ensuring flow assurance and peer-leading netback pricing.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize assets, transportation portfolios, and third-party purchase arrangements to create additional value.
- Coordinate across multiple disciplines and business units, bridging technical and market-based knowledge gaps to align corporate objectives.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of crude and NGL markets, including transportation capacity, market liquidity, and netback valuations.
- Develop and present executive-level materials to provide transparency on market conditions, trends, and opportunities.
- Create marketing plans and strategies, collaborating with midstream transporters and service providers to validate assessments and facilitate business transactions.
- Recommend business system improvements and support system implementations to enhance marketing operations.
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with midstream providers, buyers, sellers, and solution partners.
- Oversee internal processes such as contracting, credit reviews, counterparty setup, and transaction system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Marketing, Marketing, Finance, or related field from an accredited university.
- 8–12 years of relevant work experience in oil and NGL marketing or related energy markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of North American oil and NGL markets, specifically the
Appalachian region
- Marketing background with customer base (industry relationships) in Appalachian region
- Ability to interpret processing/fractionation calculations and review processing statements accurately.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing marketing teams.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to present recommendations to executive leadership.
- Solid financial, economic evaluation, and analytical capabilities.
- Creativity in problem-solving with the ability to drive commercial opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with midstream partnerships and transportation logistics.
