We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead our marketing initiatives across Energy Domain's entire product portfolio, encompassing both our innovative SaaS Data Platform and our rapidly growing online Marketplace. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in B2B SaaS, a deep understanding of the energy industry, and the ability to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and customer acquisition for both our core offerings. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and strong collaboration with sales, product, and leadership teams.
Energy Domain is a leading innovator in the Oil & Gas industry, offering two core products:
- Marketplace: The first end-to-end online marketplace for buying, selling, and leasing mineral, royalty, and working interests.
- Data: Energy Domain Data, a SaaS subscription service that provides access to comprehensive oil & gas data.
Energy Domain was founded by the team behind MineralWare, a successful SaaS platform for mineral, royalty, and working interest management (successful exit in April 2022). Since launching in 2021, Energy Domain has experienced exceptional growth, with 7,000 registered users and roughly $150 million in gross transaction volume sold on the Marketplace.

In this strategic role, you'll be instrumental in driving the growth and market presence of both the Energy Domain Data Platform and the Energy Domain Marketplace. You will be the primary architect of our comprehensive marketing efforts, responsible for developing and executing strategies that generate leads, build brand awareness, and ultimately accelerate user adoption and transaction volume across our dual product lines. You will leverage your expertise in B2B SaaS and marketplace marketing, combined with your understanding of the energy sector, to position Energy Domain as the premier technology solution for both critical data insights and efficient asset transactions. This is a chance to define and execute marketing strategies for truly disruptive products within a rapidly expanding, tech-forward startup, directly contributing to our growth trajectory and expanding our user base.
- Integrated Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that support both the Energy Domain Data SaaS platform and the Energy Domain Marketplace, ensuring cohesive brand messaging while tailoring approaches for each product's unique value proposition.
- Demand Generation & Lead Nurturing: Design and execute robust lead generation programs utilizing diverse marketing channels (e.g., digital advertising, email marketing, content syndication, webinars, SEO/SEM) to attract qualified prospects for both data subscriptions and marketplace participation.
- Content Strategy & Development: Lead the creation of compelling, industry-specific content that serves both product lines, including educational materials for marketplace users, technical content for data professionals, case studies, white papers, blog posts, and thought leadership articles relevant to mineral/royalty interest owners and energy data users.
- Brand & Product Positioning: Enhance and refine the overall Energy Domain brand presence and differentiation within the competitive oil & gas technology landscape, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging for both the Marketplace and the Data platform across all marketing touchpoints.
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate closely with the sales teams for both the Marketplace and Data products to proactively identify and develop marketing collateral, sales tools, presentations, and training materials that aid in new client acquisition, user onboarding, and deal closure across both offerings.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market analysis, monitor competitive landscapes for both Data and Marketplace products, and gather insights from customer usage and feedback to inform marketing strategies and product messaging.
- Digital Marketing & Analytics: Oversee all digital marketing efforts, including website optimization, SEO, SEM (PPC), social media engagement, and email nurturing sequences. Leverage analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce) to track campaign performance, report on ROI, and continuously optimize strategies across both product lines.
- Event & Webinar Management: Work closely with business unit leaders to plan and execute participation in relevant industry trade shows, conferences, and virtual webinars focused on oil & gas asset transactions, data, and energy technology, to drive awareness and generate leads for both the Marketplace and the Data platform.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work synergistically with the product development teams for both the Data and Marketplace products to understand features and roadmaps, and with the sales and customer success teams to ensure marketing efforts directly support overall business goals and customer needs.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation across both product lines to achieve overarching marketing objectives and maximize ROI.- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a significant portion in a senior role within a B2B SaaS company and/or a B2B marketplace.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for technology products that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth.
- Extensive experience with digital marketing strategies and channels, including SEO, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to marketing, capable of interpreting metrics and making informed decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and transactional concepts in an accessible way for diverse industry professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable marketing plans.
- Demonstrated experience and a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry is a huge plus.
