We are seeking a strategic and experienced IT Vendor and Contract Manager to lead our vendor management office and oversee a team of contracts professionals. This individual will be comfortable navigating complex vendor ecosystems and multi-vendor environments with an adept ability to build trust and influence across technical and non-technical teams. This role is responsible for developing and executing vendor strategies, ensuring optimal performance, and aligning vendor relationships with the organization’s technology and business goals.
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 7 vendor and contracts professionals.
* Set team goals, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
* Develop and implement vendor management frameworks, policies, and best practices.
* Establish governance models for vendor selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
* Oversee complex contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance.
* Ensure contracts are aligned with legal, financial, and operational standards.
* Define, monitor and refresh KPIs and SLAs for all critical IT vendors.
* Oversee software license entitlements ensuring compliance and avoiding risk.
* Conduct regular vendor audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance and mitigate exposure.
* Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, and business leaders to align vendor services with organizational needs.
* Serve as the escalation point for vendor-related issues.
* Manage vendor budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
* Stay current with market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor innovations.
* Evaluate new vendors and solutions to support IT transformation initiatives.
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* 8–10+ years of experience in IT vendor management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
* Proven experience managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and performance metrics.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong understanding of IT service delivery, application lifecycle management, and sourcing strategies.
* Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
* Experience with ERP, contract lifecycle management tools, and vendor performance frameworks.

* Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).
* PMP or equivalent project management certification (a plus).
