Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
The Health and Hygiene Manager in Venture Global will be responsible for overseeing and implementing industrial hygiene and occupational health programs to protect the well-being of employees and ensure regulatory compliance. This role will be the primary point of contact for all Health and Hygiene questions, concerns, and activities within the organization.
- Oversee, implement, and manage Venture Global LNG's safety policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, standards, and requirements
- Oversee third party IH consultant scopes of work for targeted assessments
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees and contractors on industrial hygiene, health hazards, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Stay current with all relevant federal, state, and local health and hygiene regulations, including those from OSHA, to ensure the company remains compliant.
- Serve as the primary IH liaison with safety, environmental, and operations teams to align and achieve shared goals
- Provide IH input during equipment design and modifications through the Management of Change process
- Represent IH in audits, self-assessments, and cross-functional initiatives
- Collaborate effectively across disciplines to integrate IH into broader site operations
- Conduct audits and evaluations of contractors to ensure they are meeting the company's health and hygiene standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in an HSE management or industrial hygiene role, preferably within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or a related heavy industrial sector.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Public Health, Safety Engineering, or a related science.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are highly preferred.
- Experience in LNG, petrochemical, oil and gas, or manufacturing industries preferred
- In-depth knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, risk assessment methodologies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively train staff, liaise with regulatory agencies, and present findings to leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and investigate incidents.
- Ability to travel domestically
