About the Role
The FP&A Manager is responsible for overseeing the corporate financial planning and analysis function and collaborating with regional teams to provide insights for management reporting. The position also involves contributing to the improvement of consolidation and reporting software for the FP&A team. This role requires relevant skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate the annual budgeting process in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including consolidating and analyzing regional results and preparing reports for senior management.
•Oversee the monthly forecasting process, work with regional operating groups and provide analysis to senior management.
•Analyze quarterly results to support board reports and MD&A; prepare dashboards with analysis on KPIs for senior management.
•Contribute to enhancing the consolidation and reporting software for the FP&A team by working with SMEs and consultants to develop new reports and implement improvements as needed.
•Provide oversight into any improvements to the reporting process and actively coach team members.
•Work collaboratively with other Brookfield groups to improve and streamline processes, including systematizing processes to drive efficiency and increase productivity.
•Manage and conduct ad hoc projects, analyses, and reporting as required by senior management.
•Well-organized and ability to synthesize and conceptualize complex ideas and translate them into financial models and analyses.
•Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work with and build relationships with a diverse group at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge and Experience Required
•Professional designation (CPA, CFA).
•Over six years’ experience in financial analysis within complex environments, including at least three years in a leadership capacity.
•Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with experience preparing materials for senior management.
•Analytical and strategic thinking, with decision-making skills.
•Interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships throughout the organization.
•Ability to organize time, work, and resources efficiently to meet objectives.
•Attention to detail through consistent and thorough work practices.
•Team leadership experience.
•Background in financial analysis and management reporting.
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
•Experience using financial systems such as OneStream, TM1, Mercatus, HFM, etc. Experience in system implementation is an asset.
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
