Manager, Damage Prevention

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Damage Prevention Manager located in Houston, Texas.

General Description:

The Damage Prevention Manager will support the development and implementation of the Damage Prevention Program components including operational controls program, documentation effectiveness assessments, and internal and external reporting.

- Support the Director, Pipeline Compliance in the continuous improvement of the Damage Prevention and Public Awareness Programs.

- Support development and implementation of one call processes and systems for VG pipeline assets.

- Oversee one-call tickets processes.

- Lead in the support of development, implementation and management of aerial patrol program.

- Lead in compiling and report Damage Prevention data and metrics for internal and external reporting.

- Collaborate with Field Operations Pipeline Integrity Lands and ROW and other functional groups to ensure regulatory compliance.

- Ensures the Management of Change Processes are utilized effectively.

- Participate in Assurance program through self-assessment and inspection activities as required.

- Participate in compliance and effectiveness reviews of the Damage Prevention Program its components and processes.

- Provide advisory support in the development of damage prevention related training as necessary.

- Understanding with incident investigation techniques developing and implementing corrective and preventative action plans.

- Familiar with surveillance and monitoring processes such as Aerial Patrols Gas Leakage Surveys Depth of Cover Surveys.

- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to pipeline asset integrity.

- Lead the Public Awareness Program

- Ensure that the proper mailing is done and all require meeting are held to meet compliance

- Knowledge and understand of filling dig information to the Common Ground Alliance (CGA) Dirt system.

- Work will be conducted mainly in the office environment.

- Minimal Travel

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications

- Minimum a high school diploma or GED plus 5 – 7

Experience:

- Knowledge and experience of 49CFR191 & 192 regulations, and various state regulations. API 1162 and 1166 (preferred experience in Louisiana and Texas)

Skills:

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

- Understanding of pipeline systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements is preferred.

- Organized, strong planning skills, able to manage multiple activities in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.
