This role is responsible for supporting the growth of X-energy’s customer base by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with prospective and existing customers in key market segments. This role works under the supervision of Directors and Senior Directors of Customer Relationship Development within the Global Business Development team to implement customer engagement, support customer and opportunity qualification, enable business capture planning, and contribute to X-energy’s business development goals with a focus on long-term relationship cultivation and value delivery.
- Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with assigned potential and existing customers.
- Support planning and execution of customer engagement opportunities, including meetings, presentations, workshops, and formal responses to RFIs/RFPs.
- Gather and communicate customer insights, needs, and priorities to internal stakeholders including engineering, licensing, commercial, and executive teams.
- Develop and deliver tailored customer value propositions in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in implementing the customer relationship management (CRM) plan for key accounts.
- Track and manage customer communications and action items in alignment with business development objectives.
- Coordinate logistics and content for customer meetings, site visits, and key milestone events.
- Support the development of capture strategies and business cases for new customer opportunities.
- Contribute to proposal development and related business development deliverables.
- Maintain awareness of nuclear industry trends and regulatory environment relevant to customer interests.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable nuclear export control regulations.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field.
- Typically, ten years of experience in the nuclear energy, electric power generation, industrial energy, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
- Experience with sales cycles in complex, regulated industries such as nuclear power, utilities, or process industries.
- Experience supporting or developing responses to RFIs, RFPs, and technical proposals.
Work Site Expectations: at least 4 days per week in office
Hours: standard office schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri
