Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Worker to join our team in Haiti. The ideal candidate will be deployed in Haiti, working under a Federal Contract. The ideal candidate will have prior military or overseas deployment experience, and will have mid-level experience in carpentry, electrical, and general building systems, along with sound knowledge of tools and maintenance procedures. This position supports day-to-day operations by ensuring that facilities, equipment, and systems are safe, functional, and well maintained. The role requires hands-on work, problem-solving, and the ability to complete maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. This position reports to the Site Crew Team Lead.
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.
· Inspect buildings and systems (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical) to identify issues and complete timely repairs.
· Respond to work orders and maintenance requests efficiently and with minimal supervision.
· Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure continued operation and safety of facility systems.
· Perform mid-level carpentry work, including repairs to doors, frames, trim, flooring, and furniture.
· Construct or assemble fixtures, shelving, or partitions as needed.
· Patch drywall, paint, and perform general finish work to maintain a professional appearance of facilities.
· Conduct basic to mid-level electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, switches, and wiring under supervision of or in accordance with local codes. Mechanically inclined a plus
· Inspect and maintain electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe operation.
· Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
· Perform routine plumbing maintenance, including unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and repairing leaks, as needed.
· Use and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively. Have working knowledge of tools and basic equipment.
· Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are stored properly and in working order.
· Assist in maintaining an inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.
· Perform general site maintenance and labor including painting, landscaping, lifting, cleaning, minor repairs, and organizing materials as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to complete tasks and support broader operational goals.
· Handle set-up and clean-up of work areas; ensure tools and equipment are ready and stored properly.
· Support logistics and materials management, including inventory, material deliveries, truck receiving, water drops, and weather-related preparations
· Maintain and inspect assigned equipment daily, report safety incidents or equipment issues promptly. Participate in daily safety inspections and always wear appropriate PPE.
· Assist other teams and departments as needed with related duties.
· IF APPLICABLE - Operate forklifts, including Lulls, to move, load, and unload materials across warehouse, field, and job sites.
· The work is heavy work which requires the ability to exert heavy physical effort in work, including carrying, pushing/pulling moderately heavy objects and materials (ex 50-100 lbs)
· Work is regularly performed outdoors with exposure to environmental conditions.
· Familiarity with basic construction, carpentry and electrical functions
· Familiarity with common tools and basic plumbing
· Forklift certification a plus (Lull or similar). Proven competence in operation of equipment required
· Available to work various hours including nights, holidays, and weekends when needed. Be prepared to work 12-hour shifts during critical project phases (day or night), with reduced hours during the operations/maintenance phase
· Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a background check, security clearance check, motor vehicle checks and drug test

- Bilingual a plus (Spanish / Creole)
- Valid US Passport REQUIRED
· Prior Military or Deployment experience STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
· Safety: Uphold and contribute to a proactive safety culture. Complete all required safety training and participate in emergency preparedness.
· Quality: Follow DMG's quality management systems to ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction.
· Compliance: Adhere to all DMG policies, safety protocols, and procedures relevant to the role.
· Trade certifications, CDL, OSHA/FEMA training, Hazmat certification, or prior military experience.
· Must be a US Citizen, and able to pass background / clearance checks
