The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment, facilities, and systems are functioning safely and efficiently. This role coordinates with the maintenance staff, assists in planning and scheduling work, and helps implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve operational reliability.
- You will assist in managing day-to-day maintenance activities across the company.
- You will oversee, manage, and direct all Maintenance staff by effectively delegating any maintenance issues to the right skilled individuals.
- You will assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining an up-to-date Preventive Maintenance Plan for all company equipment and facilities.
- With the direction of the Maintenance Manager, You will oversee repairs, inspection, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- You will complete repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- You will fulfill all facility maintenance requests in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- You will ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly.
- You will assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- You will conduct monthly inventory.
- You will assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency.
- You will utilize data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems.
- You will complete and submit Work Orders, ensuring all essential information is included.
- You will train new employees in maintenance and fabrication work processes
- You are recording and tracking daily progress/error reports.
- You can maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed.
- You can enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol.
- You can complete mandatory weekly/monthly or as-needed safety trainings
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Must display strong motivation and resourcefulness; be self-motivated.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 50% of the time.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 5-7 years of experience of Maintenance management preferred.
- Must have extensive knowledge/experience with the operation and maintenance of equipment in heavy industrial, manufacturing, and/or recycling environments.
- A college degree in a related field (Business / Management / Logistics) is a plus.
