Job Summary:
Tool Manufacturing Company located in Southern Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure continued stability of operations. The desired candidate will leverage technical experience to oversee the upkeep of all equipment and facilities. Position reports to the CEO and will work closely with all employees in support of their maintenance needs.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and other shop equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on machinery.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment repairs and services.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery or equipment upgrades.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend restocking as needed.
- Support facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as required.
- Valid Driver’s License and Forklift Operator’s License.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in maintenance technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.- Basic computer skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Miyano, Fanuc controls) and manual machining equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, coolants, and machinery.
- Welding or fabrication skills are a plus.
