MaxHousing is seeking a hands-on, organized, and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to help ensure the safety, compliance, emergency preparedness, and smooth operation of our five Vistas Apartment Communities. What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in ensuring our apartment communities are well-maintained, code-compliant, and responsive to residents’ needs. Your work will include:
Maintenance and Repairs
•Complete daily work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
•Respond to and coordinate emergency on-call issues
•Execute skilled and semi-skilled repairs, including unit turnovers and equipment maintenance
Inspections
•Perform move-in, move-out, annual, and routine inspections
•Prepare for external regulatory inspections and ensure health/safety compliance
•Identify and document damages
Administration and Communication
•Maintain accurate physical and electronic records
•Use work order systems and basic Excel tools to track and report maintenance activities
•Communicate professionally with staff, vendors, and residents
Staff Support & Training
•Fill in for Facilities Technicians during absences
•Train staff in building systems and maintenance techniques
•Assist large projects and multi-person jobs
Contractor Oversight
•Coordinate vendor and contractor activities
•Conduct purchasing, bid comparisons, and vendor research
Site Monitoring & Quality Control
•Provide quality assurance for completed work orders and preventative maintenance efforts
•Complete and submit progress reports
Other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade certification preferred
•3+ years in property maintenance, building operations, or a facilities role with team coordination or lead experience
•Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building operations
•Must possess a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation, and use a vehicle suitable for transporting tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks
•Familiarity with inspection standards is a plus
•Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, Internet)
•Excellent communication and documentation skills
Physical Requirements
•Climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
•Response to property emergencies during and outside regular work hours
