Summary: Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the company's facility maintenance management, and repair of equipment that align with Seaport's safety program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned.
•Actively participate in Seaport Steel's Safety Program.
•Maintain a daily log of tasks completed to evaluate whether the asset is working at optimal performance.
•Perform daily rounds to ensure all lifting equipment is in proper working condition.
•Perform manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance on all equipment within the facility to minimize downtime.
•Perform necessary repairs on all equipment that does not have an internal combustion engine to reduce downtime.
+ This could include but is not limited to, welding, fabricating, or forming any necessary brackets or components that are not readily available as an off-the-shelf component.
•Maintain and follow through on work order requests utilizing our internal maintenance software, Limble.
•Maintain a reasonable spare parts inventory in case of machine failure, utilizing our internal maintenance software, Limble.
•Perform basic maintenance on trailers.
+ This could include but is not limited to landing gear, ratchets, lights, or decals to ensure equipment meets DOT standards.
•Coordinate with vendors the warehouse Manager, to ensure proper and timely repairs that are outside the scope of this position.

•Overhead crane experience preferred.
Education/Experience:
High School Graduate; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Ability:
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
•Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
•Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.
Math Ability:
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Reasoning Ability:
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
•To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
