- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mobile and fixed equipment, including crushers, conveyors, hoists, Ball and SAG mills, gear boxes, agitators, centrifugal pumps, vibrating screens, and mobile mining equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Operate light and heavy equipment as required
- Maintain personal tools and work areas to uphold safety and cleanliness standards
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies during maintenance activities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Develop, schedule, and distribute weekly maintenance plans for underground operations and major repair shops
- Prepare detailed job packets and ensure proper documentation of work orders
- Monitor and report maintenance KPIs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Track ordered materials, create purchase requisitions, and schedule work upon delivery
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to adjust priorities based on production and equipment needs
- Proficiency with basic computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Lead safe execution of maintenance activities across assigned zones or teams
- Supervise and mentor maintenance personnel, supporting career development and team performance
- Partner with leadership to support departmental goals, budget management, and long-term planning
- Establish strong working relationships across operations to ensure smooth and efficient maintenance execution
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices in planned and predictive maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to work rotating day and night schedules as required
- Entry-Level / Technician: Willingness to learn and ability to repair underground and surface mobile equipment; basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, pumps, and hoists preferred
- Experienced Technicians: 3+ years maintaining underground or heavy mobile equipment in mining, construction, or farming environments; experience with diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; experience with crushers, conveyors, mills, gear boxes, agitators, pumps, vibrating screens, and precision alignment techniques preferred - Supervisors / Leads: 10+ years of verifiable maintenance experience; 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience preferred; experience in planned maintenance environments preferred- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required
- Basic fabrication skills including welding, cutting, brazing, and arc welding preferred
- Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type required
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, oil analysis, thermography, and vibration analysis preferred
- Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools required
- Proven safe work record and commitment to a safety-first culture required
- Ability to work in a team-based maintenance organization required
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions required
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and comply with all company policies, procedures, and environmental regulations required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds as requiredLeadership & Communication (for Supervisors / Leads):
