- Warehouse Administration
- Works in conjunction with leads in Operations as well as both the Mobile and Plant maintenance functions to facilitate timely repairs and optimize preventative maintenance (service) schedules. Also responsible for the oversight of all warehouse functions onsite.
- Warehouse Administration (40%):
- Use of Infor and IFS – computer software
- Accepts the delivery of all goods at the mine’s Lower Shop receiving area.
- Formally receives all goods within the appropriate programs.
- Ensures the accuracy of packing slip & invoice information such as parts quantity, cost and labor charges. Addresses discrepancies with the appropriate third parties.
- Inventory Management: places receive parts in the correct warehouse locations.
- Ensures the accuracy of warehouse inventory records including parts storage (bin & warehouse) locations, stock quantities, descriptions, and unit costs.
- Arranges for the periodic auditing of physical inventory levels
- Warehouse optimization: ensures/arranges for optimized storage of the Mobile Maintenance warehouse including bins, racks, etc. both inside and out
- Arranges for the distribution of received items to other warehouse storage locations onsite (Plant Maintenance Warehouse)
- Sourcing of goods/services: works in conjunction with the Procurement group and in accordance with applicable standards to ensure the timely and efficient availability of goods/services at fair pricing.
- Collaborates with vendors for pricing and submit corresponding purchase requisitions
- Critical Spares Assessments: assists in the criticality assessments of various equipment and processes. Responds accordingly with appropriate spare parts.
- Ensures appropriate stock levels.
- Parts kitting: assembles strategic parts kits to minimize the downtime associated with equipment services.
- Maintenance Planning (60%):
- Reviews pre-use inspections and develops an appropriate response plan for issues noted.
- Prepares detailed plans and coordinates as-needed (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) for Mobile Maintenance projects containing parts and labor requirements, cost estimates as well as future capital requirements.
- Work Orders: creating and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of labor accounting and stock quantities used for all projects
- Preventative Maintenance: sets up automatic, recurring preventative maintenance-based work orders (time or hour-based)
- Parts ordering: orders parts needed for planned maintenance services in advance to minimize shipping costs. Ensures the timely sourcing and delivery of parts needed to fix equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Requisitioning parts/contractor services, labor, and rental equipment.
- Oversees oil sampling programs, responds with recommendations
- Collaboration with Pit Operations OLP to minimize downtime/maximize the availability of mining equipment
- Tracking data on equipment and updating weekly
- Use of maintenance work order systems & software
- Exposure to warehouse inventory management/control systems
- Diesel mechanic experience
- Five + years of experience as a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic and/or Lead person preferred- Computer proficiency, typing ability
- Ability to convey maintenance/parts needs to lead mechanics, vendors, contractors
- Practical knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance practices/procedures
- Knowledge of plant processing as well as maintenance methods
- Familiarization with computer programs including but not limited to: CAT Parts Store, OEM Parts Systems, IFS, Infor, Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word, Project a plus).
- Works a four-ten schedule; Monday – Thursday, 6am-4pm
- Company transportation provided from Ennis, MT
- Reports to and works from the Lower shop of Yellowstone Mine south of Cameron
