Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with manual and CNC machines. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. This role involves operating a Wieler NC lathe to produce downhole tool components and repair API thread connections. Candidates with experience chasing API thread connections will be highly valued. Duties

- Operate Weiler hollow spindle lathe.

- Program Weiler using Siemens controls and programming techniques

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings to produce accurate parts

- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure quality standards

- Set up and calibrate machinery, including hand tools and power tools, for each job

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime

- Follow safety protocols including proper use of cranes, forklifts, and other industrial tools

- Support assembly processes as needed, ensuring parts meet specifications for final products .

Experience

- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role involving manual machining and Wieler CNC programming and operation

- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes, including reworking of API thread connections.

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, and technical specifications

- Hands-on experience with Siemens controls, CNC lathe, and manual machining tools

- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine settings

- Experience with crane, forklift operation is advantageous

Pay: $35.00-$44.00 per hour
