Machinist - 2nd shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:30PM – 2:00AM)

Snapshot of Your Day

Set up and operate advanced machines including horizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC milling machines and speed mills according to the instructions or work packages.

- Set up and operate advanced machines including horizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC milling machines and speed mills according to the instructions or work packages.

- Check machined dimensions using various precision measurement tools to verify tolerances, dimensions and to perform first article inspections on parts.

- Set up and program parts utilizing “G” Code to write machining programs for a specific part.

- Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.

What You Bring

- AAS or Machine Tool Technology certificate and/or equivalent machining experience

- Proficient in reading blueprints.

- Proficient in shop mathematics

- Proven experience operating horizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC Milling machines and speed mills
