Machine Shop Manager

Job Overview

Borson Technologies is a small tool and die shop with a good customer base. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machining Manager to oversee our machining processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining, man

- Supervise and coordinate daily machinine operations to ensure production goals are met

- Oversee the setup and op.eration of CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment.

- Ensure adherence to quality control standards by implementing inspection processes using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to guide machining processes.

- Manage programming tasks for CNC machines, including CAM programming and CNC programming.

- Train and mentor staff on best practices in machining and tool usage.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.

- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations within the warehouse environment.

Requirements

- Proven experience in a machining or manufacturing environment with strong mechanical knowledge.

- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and forklifts.

- Knowledge of quality control processes and tooling techniques.

- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to manage a diverse team effectively.

- Previous experience in assembly work is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
