# Job Description Summary

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability, accuracy, and efficiency. This role involves coordinating inventory operations, implementing inventory control procedures, and collaborating with various departments to support production, sales, and procurement objectives for the Schenectady N.Y. Wind manufacturing operation.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.

- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and reconcile discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers.

- Lead annual physical inventory activities.

- Collaborate with planning, procurement, and production to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.

- Utilize inventory management software and tools to track stock and generate reports.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and health & safety standards.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to increase inventory accuracy and efficiency.

- Lead and train union hourly front-line warehouse/yard employees, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

- Address and resolve any inventory-related issues or challenges in a timely manner.

- Prepare and present regular inventory reports to management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience).

- Minimum of 3 years of materials, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.

- This position is 100% onsite in Schenectady, NY.

The base pay range for this position is $90,400.00 - $150,500.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 10%.

- The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
