Machine Operator - Senior Level

At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an Experienced Machine Operator. We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Experienced Machine Operator Responsibilities:

- Operate mixers and add minor ingredients to batch raw materials to prepare for pressing

- Operate presses to form mixed materials into refractory shapes, adjusting to achieve proper shape, dimension and density

- Perform press die changes and load press programs

- Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability

- Document production manually and through computer entry

- Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition

- Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor

Experienced Machine Operator Minimum Requirements

- 3-5 years' experience operating machinery and equipment

- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude

- Ability to use precision measuring equipment

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

Experienced Machine Operator Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with robotics in manufacturing

- Familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operations and rigging

- Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings
