Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Logistics Managerto oversee and optimize the flow of materials, equipment, and finished products across our industrial operations. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods while supporting the unique logistics needs of AIM’s recycling tenants and industrial partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will oversee daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation of scrap metal and industrial materials.
- You will develop and implement logistics strategies to reduce costs, improve service levels, and maximize efficiency.
- You will manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure reliable material flow.
- You will negotiate and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
- You will monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and recommend improvements to logistics processes.
- You will ensure strict compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- You will collaborate with operations, production, and tenant teams to align logistics with recycling and industrial business goals.
- You will train, mentor, and lead logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; or equivalent industrial experience.
- 5+ years of logistics or supply chain management experience in recycling, industrial, or manufacturing environments.- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated success in vendor negotiations and carrier management.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial setting with a focus on safety and efficiency.
