Lincoln Terminal Company is seeking a Logistics Analyst to join our team at our beautiful and convenient downtown Greenville office. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for optimizing logistical processes associated with the transport, setup, and distribution of biofuels and petroleum products to provide top-tier service for our customers. A strong emphasis is placed on the efficiency of logistical execution and a continued focus on continuous process improvement to capture additional margin/profitability. Establishing and maintaining a rapport with various suppliers, customers, and terminal partners are critical factors for success in this role.
- Builds and maintains excellent business partner relationships with suppliers and site customers.
- Analyzes logistic strategic options to drive improvements in operational efficiency, cost-reduction, and supplier performance.
- Optimizes routes to mitigate demurrage/cost.
- Monitors and evaluates supplier execution as well as regulatory compliance.
- Monitors market conditions and identifies supply/demand challenges and opportunities.
- Assists with demand forecasting.
- Performs inventory planning, supply scheduling, and transportation network modeling.
- Defines contractual details for logistics-related expenditures.
- Evaluates contract compliance.
- Performs inventory management, including optimization, audits, analyzing results, continuous improvement, and recommendation of corrective actions.
- Manages ethanol supply.
- Maintains efficient rail schedules.
- Maintains a current base of industry and technical knowledge.
Logistics is inherently a 24/7 business. Lincoln Energy is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and problem resolution at all times. This position generally works 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM in the office Monday through Friday with the expectation that emails, phone calls, and real-time problems are addressed and responded to timely. There will be times during high volume periods, natural disasters, and unforeseen logistical hurdles that will require additional time commitment as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or another related field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in Logistics or Business Analyst role. A Master’s degree will be considered in lieu of experience.
- High level of organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
- Highly proficient use of Microsoft Office tools.
- In-depth working process knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proven experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Supply Chain processes.
- Familiarity with inventory models, transportation models, and network optimization techniques.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
- Experience in the energy industry or commodities trading.
- VBA, SQL, SAS, and Python experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Coordinator, Business Analyst, or similar role.- Largely stationary role in a clerical office setting.
- Constantly operates a computer.
