Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

- Operate various types of trucks, including flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring safe delivery of goods.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques as needed.

- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.

- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations while driving on public roads.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.

Qualifications

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

- Experience in belt, end dump, and walking floor trailers.

- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is essential.

- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is required.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.

- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.

- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Drivers will be home overnight.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $0.55 - $0.65 per mile
