Truck Driver Class A CDL

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tractor-trailers and Straight truck. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

- Operate trucks, including tractor-trailers and straight trucks to transport goods to designated locations.

- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling, and securing of cargo.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving on assigned routes.

Requirements

- Proven experience in flatbed truck, Roll Off Trucks and End Dumps, driving with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures, including loading, and unloading techniques.

- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and maximum of 100 pounds occasionally, pushing and pulling up to 80 pounds, gripping, squatting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching when loading and unloading materials.

Ability to work in varying weather and road conditions with moderate to low levels of noise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Class A CDL and current medical card

Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as prescribed by DOT

Excellent customer service skills while assisting customers

Desire to learn the practices and methods used at the recycling yard and steel warehouse

Attentive and safety conscious

Good work ethic, with high honesty and integrity
