CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering metals from our yards to processing facilities with dump trailer and dry vans. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo throughout the transportation process.

Responsibilities

- Operate and drive tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner.

- Conduct pre & post trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.

- Transport and deliver materials from yards to recycling facilities as directed.

- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.

- Communicate any safety or equipment issues with management.

- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck both inside and out.

Requirements

- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

- 4 years experience of commercial driving experience

- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities and best practices.

- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.

- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks as required.

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

- Dump & Roll-Off experience preferred but not required

- Must be able to pass a DOT physical, meet all qualifications of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation and pass a background check.

This position will work outside in varying weather conditions and there is down time in the winter months.

An offer of employment by Mullins Salvage is contingent on a satisfactory completion of post offer drug screen, physical exam and background check.
