Who We Are

For over a century, northeast Indiana has been home to a hardworking farming community built on integrity, resilience, and family values. These same principles remain at the heart of Ag Plus today.

What started as a modest group of farmers has grown into a thriving cooperative with over 1,400 members, serving communities across eleven counties. Despite our growth, we remain locally owned and operated—not by a distant boardroom, but by the farmers we proudly serve.

Ag Plus is open to everyone in northeastern Indiana—no memberships, no annual fees. Our success stays within the local markets we serve, benefiting our communities time and time again.

About the Role:

The Liquid Propane Driver plays a crucial role in our agricultural sector by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of liquid propane to various residental homes,farms and agricultural facilities. This position is essential for ensureing all tanks that relies on propane as a fuel source are filled. The driver will be responsible for adhering to all safety regulations and protocols while transporting propane, thereby minimizing risks associated with hazardous materials. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate delivery records and providing exceptional customer service to clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or B with a hazardous materials endorsement.

- Proven experience in driving and operating large vehicles, preferably in a delivery capacity.

- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to the transportation of hazardous materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the agricultural industry or with propane delivery.

- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and repair.

- Customer service experience in a delivery or logistics role.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate and drive a liquid propane delivery truck to various residential & agricultural locations.

- Fill propane tanks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.

- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all transactions and deliveries.

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with deliveries.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include safe driving practices and knowledge of hazardous materials handling, which are essential for ensuring the safe transport of liquid propane. Attention to detail is crucial for conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate delivery records. Strong communication skills are necessary for providing excellent customer service and addressing client needs effectively. Problem-solving skills will be beneficial when navigating delivery routes and managing any unexpected challenges. Additionally, familiarity with agricultural operations can enhance the driver's ability to understand client requirements and improve service delivery.

Hours will vary based on the route; however, the office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
