About Us
Lightning Eliminators and Consultants, Inc. is a leader in lightning protection systems. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, custom systems and professional service to clients worldwide.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Lightning Protection Installation Technician with a strong mechanical background, preferably in field mechanical installations and/or metal fabrication.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with professionalism, clear communication skills, and the ability to travel frequently while representing our company to clients and contractors. They will bring a positive attitude and teamwork-focused mentality, while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision when needed.

- Interpret engineering drawings and apply to field installations to ensure that equipment is installed properly.
- Strong understanding of our products and ability to represent LEC in a professional manner to clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

- Handle the rigors of domestic and international travel as required for project assignments.
- Track expenses, maintain inventory and make mathematical calculations on-site.
- Follow company safety policies and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Assist in fabrication, shop, shipping, or other LEC activity areas when not on an installation jobsite or on field related functions.

- Ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
- Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to get a passport) required.
- Ability to pass regular DISA background checks and drug screening (including hair follicle testing), as a requirement for entry to various installation sites.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including hand signals and verbal communication in person and over radio, writing professional detailed reports.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, or as part of a team with coworkers and/or outside contractors.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, especially applied geometry and the ability to understand engineering drawings.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong commitment to following safety protocols and active participation in regularly provided safety trainings.
- Computer skills: Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook email, network drives, familiarity with generating and editing pdf and photo files.
