Position Title: Legal Coordinator
Location: Charlotte, NC
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
•Document Management System
•CSC Entity Management System
•UCC Entity Management System
•Filing of hard copy documents
•Respond to requests for documents
•Assist General Counsel, Associate General Counsels, and Senior Manager – Legal
Education/Experience Required
•High School Diploma required or equivalent, college degree preferred.
•Minimum five years’ legal experience, preferably with a large law firm in a transactional practice.
•Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
•Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast paced and challenging environment.
•Ability to work overtime on a regular basis and irregular hours on short notice; overtime is a requirement for this position since the Legal Department is responsible for handling a large volume of work, including closings, for multiple transactions each year.
•Good interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in person, by email, and on the telephone; effectively follow instructions from a broad group of attorneys, non-attorney professionals, and business staff; provide information with courtesy and tact.
•Excellent written and verbal skills.
•Enthusiastic individual who possesses a strong work ethic.
•Computer skills; ability to utilize word processing software (especially knowledge of Word)
•Capability to handle lengthy contracts and preparation of columns, tables, and charts.
•Proficiency in track changes and comparison software.
•Ability to proof typed material for punctuation, grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors.
•Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations when verifying law firm invoices and other documents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
