Reporting to the Supervisor, Engineering, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Promote Health and Safety to the survey team by hosting meetings, conducting field visits and work card control, procedure redaction and developing incident/accident prevention initiatives;
- Provide coaching to the team by way of technical and soft skill training;
- Attend daily morning meeting to receive daily mine production survey requirements;
- Ensure adequate allocation of workforce and proper upkeep of the team work schedule;
- Ensure the working order of all team related equipment and order equipment and supplies as required;
- Execute the daily tasks associated with supporting engineering and operations, such as surveying and mine layout creation/updates;
- Responsible for the monthly (or bi-monthly) survey advance update for EOM purposes;
- Develop and maintain a high degree of precision and professionalism.
- College Diploma in Mine Engineering/Technology or higher;
- 3 years of experience in underground mining;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and mine design software (Deswik is considered an asset).
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
