Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our dynamic team at Camnetics Manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to aircraft Part surfaces, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing the aesthetic and protective qualities of the aircraft. You will work closely with other skilled tradespeople to maintain the highest quality of craftsmanship. During non-painting time you will be assisting our Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic fabricating Aircraft Sheet Metal parts.
Responsibilities
•Prepare aircraft part surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
•Mix and apply coatings according to specifications, (Using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment) ensuring proper adhesion and finish.
•Inspect painted surfaces for quality control, identifying and rectifying any imperfections.
•Maintain equipment and tools in optimal condition to ensure safe and effective operation.
•Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety regulations.
•Document all work performed and maintain inventory of materials.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•2+ years of experience in aircraft painting or a related field
•Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials used in aircraft finishing
•Understanding of safety procedures and regulations in a paint shop environment
•Ability to work overtime as needed with little to short notice
•Good physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Preferred:
•Certification in aviation painting including any of the following: (NACE) Certified Coating Applicator, (NACE) Protective Coatings Specialist, (SSPC) Coating Application Specialist, (SSPC) Protective Coatings Specialist, (APCS) Aircraft Painter Certification Scheme, (ACAS) Aerospace Coating Application Specialist Certification (NORSOK) M-501 Certification, (AMPP) Association for Materials Protection and Performance Spray Application Certification (C12) or equivalent.
•Experience with both interior and exterior aircraft painting.
•Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
•Proficient in the use of spray-painting equipment and tools.
•Familiarity with various types of paints and coatings, including primers and sealants.
•Understanding of surface preparation techniques and materials.
•Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
•Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
•Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
This opening is long term and hourly wage is $30.00 to $35.00 depending on experience and ability, also, in addition, incentive pay for meeting production goals. This opening includes vacation, holiday pay, health insurance, dental insurance and Simple IRA.
