· 5 years manufacturing experience with 3+ years inspection experience
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, 3D renderings, safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions
· Ability to use and accurately read calipers
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
· Perform inspections of parts. Check height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other precision-measuring instruments
· Perform first article inspections of metal parts using standard measuring tools and ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout production run with additional inspections
- Complete and maintain quality inspection paperwork according to ISO9001 policies and procedures
Environment is a sheet metal fabrication shop. Worker will be subject to high noise levels and exposed to heavy machinery. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Sheet metal can cause cuts and lacerations. Metal is highly conductive of thermal energy. Burns are possible when metal is exposed to open flames or a heat source. Inhaling sheet metal dust can increase the chances of respiratory illness. Exposure to oil and grease is possible. Machinery such as turrets, lasers, press brakes, shears, saws, and mills can cause bodily harm in the event of improper operation or malfunction.
