Lead Equipment Technician / Shop Manager

Pipeline Conditioning provides industry leading odorization services for natural gas providers throughout the country. We are currently looking for a Lead Equipment Technician / Shop Manager to oversee our onsite operations in Houston, Texas. This person will be responsible for maintaining equipment and managing the facility. Additional responsibilities include shipping/receiving, ordering & maintaining inventory & permitting. Experience with gas pressure, fluid flow & positive displacement pumps is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Primary responsibility is to maintain company fleet of equipment through submitted service tickets, check-in/check-out inspections & annual recertification requirements.

- Maintenance can be both mechanical and electrical on manifolding, pumps, or measurement instrumentation

- Responsible for keeping all equipment requiring annual calibration & certification up to date

- Responsible for all shop operations:

- Ordering, receiving, shipping & inventory

- Upkeeping required permitting & safety equipment

- Maintaining detailed organization of workspace and equipment inventory

- Communicate with coworkers and supervisors to optimize work completion based on priority

- Sources vendors, materials & maintenance providers

Requirements

- Ensure company safety guidelines and policies are met, at all times

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot

- Able to lift and lower packages up to 50 pounds

- Able to slide packages up to 75 lbs

- Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite in particular Word & Excel

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required at minimum

· Mechanical maintenance and repairs experience required

· Valid Drivers License

· Proven ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

· Strong organization, multi-tasking and tracking skills

· Strong communication

· Able to identify issues and recommend solutions to management

Preferred:

- Previous experience with gas pressure, fluid flow, pumps and manifolding

- Forklift experience/certification

- Comfortable driving a trailer up to 20’

- Natural gas regulation understanding

- Previous experience with OSHA 40

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
